I think that any of the teams in the coast league should look to be promoted if they win the league. It shows ambition.

With a very depleated side next year I would very much doubt it that Murton will win the coast league. I would be suprised if they finish in the top 4.

The problem all the coast league clubs face, is to gain promotion into the DSL, the club must meet the requirements of the DSL. Ground size, Screens, covers, adaquate changing rooms (hot running water)
My question is:-
How many clubs would be able to meet the requirements?

Good point Mul. Do you know the full criteria ie what is the minimum size of the ground, does hot running water mean taps as well as showers and are sheet style covers ok or do you need to have roll on covers.

It is worth knowing so that any club in with a chance of winning the league can prepare for any inspection.

At the other end of things with 11 teams in the league would the coast league have relegation to the NEDL in the first year or just accept a team to make the numbers up to 12. If so could this work for three years to increase the league to 14 teams?

to be fair, it cant really go on ground size as Philli got into the premier league and it is one of the smallest grounds around. Aswell if it goes on quality of ground how did Blaydon get in. Say Castle eden win the league, then the playoff and get declined entry into the senior league cos they have no covers, then what is the point of having this promotion /relegation in the leagues. Not many clubs have money to buy them or if they did they would get vandalised and that is why some clubs dont buy them.
