Post Post subject: Vic v Seaham Park Cricket Club Result 18/02/2007
I can post the result but unfortunately I can't post the indiividual scores as I left the result card with Les Graham and didn't take a copy for the report. It will follow asap though.

All I can really say is it was a game of two halves - the Vic romping to a 3-0 lead courtesty of Kev Cunningham, George Jennings and Tommy Cummings but then the wheels fell off as Ian Graham, Stevie Burton, Steve Kell and finally Norman McKenna all lost out to allow the Park to steal an unlikely victory with Alan Smith taking the decisive leg.

Kev threw a great leg of darts in the opener to win in 21 darts which included a 140 and a ton.

Up next, Geordie Jennings played a decent leg after an average start to take the Vic into a 2-0 lead.

Tommy Cummings took another win in very similar fashion to George.

Iggy played the worst game of darts he's ever thrown but still managed to get down to a double but failed to hit any of them to allow the Park back into it.

Stevie Burton played the Park captain and Stevie threw some steady darts but 3 missed darts at tops were to prove to be decisive as the Park clawed back another leg.

Stevie Kell played Kenna in the 6th leg in what was the pivotal game and Stevie had a mare against Kenna, who threw a blinding leg to take a 20 darter to level the match.

Alan Smith had the darts against Norman McKenna in the final leg and a 100 start was followed by a few low scores as Norman kept pace all of the way. Alan finished in clinical style though and with Nonka waiting on a 2 darter, the advantage of throwing 1st went the way of the Park as they completed an excellent comeback to win the match 4-3.

The dominoes went the way of many this season with Norman and Ian winning and Les, Tucker and Bobby all failing to support their younger comrades.

The pairs Open competition in the dominoes is played this Friday but the Vic is not expected to field any competitors.

Full results sheet to follow as soon as I have it.
